Your main responsibilities are to.
● Install, configure, operate and perform maintenance on the company’s computer systems and servers.
● Create and manage system permissions and user accounts.
● Maintain security measures, updates and security patches on systems including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS).
● Configure and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN) and internet connections. As well as troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Perform backups and manage disaster recovery.
● Manage software licenses used in the company, ensuring compliance with terms, conditions and current legality.
● Negotiate and maintain relationships with hardware and software vendors, ensuring that any issues or queries related to these are resolved.
● Monitor systems performance and perform preventive maintenance to ensure stability and optimal performance.
● Provide technical support and resolve software and hardware issues in a timely manner, as well as provide training on the proper use of systems and applications.
● Document procedures, configurations and changes to systems.
● Participate in IT projects, providing technical expertise and managing the implementation of solutions.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of projects.
Requirements / Knowledge
● Systems technician, student of Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related careers.
● Previous experience: basic or intermediate experience in technical support roles, systems or network administration assistance, or similar positions.
● Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS, etc.).
● Familiarity with network administration, including simple network configurations (LAN, WAN).
● Basic knowledge of security tools such as antivirus, firewalls and data protection systems.
● Basic knowledge of system and application monitoring tools.
